This beautifully made ehibition watch was an exceptional example of the art of watchmaking, and still in excellent
condition despite it's age. The owner had brought it in for it's regular service and some case refinishing. The movement
was stripped, cleaned, rebuilt, lubricated and timed in a day. Watches of this quality almost assemble themselves.
The following photos show some of the steps in the rebuilding of the movement. The movement was held in a brass ring
that I machined up for the purpose, allowing easy accesss to the repeater slide, chronograph pusher and perpetual
calendar jumpers.
